SIZE
There are 350 departments and their respective fire officers that make up the South Dakota Fire Chief Officers Association. This offers a diverse group to support and offer ideas and advice to each other.
​ADVOCACY
One of the most important goals of the SDFCA is to advocate for fire safety improvements and education in the private and business sectors that protect the citizens in our communities as well as our own personnel.
MEETING THE NEEDS
Many departments operate with just a handful of dedicated volunteers, while larger cities like Rapid City, Sioux Falls, and a few others have significant numbers of full time personnel.  We want to meet all the needs of our members.
